Terms of Business

The following terms and conditions govern business transacted with Academy Class Ltd. of Centre for Media Excellence, Elizabeth House, 39 York Road, London SE1 7NQ, hereinafter referred to as “Academy Class”.

 

Confirmation of Reservation

To confirm your reservation and enroll for a course, you must either complete the registration form and provide a formal Purchase Order, or agree to pay, for the course as set out below.

 

Late Bookings

Bookings made within 10 working days of course commencement must be paid for, or agreed to be paid for immediately at time of enrollment. Provisional bookings can not be accepted at this time.

 

Payment

  • You may pay or agree to pay for the course by cheque (payable to Academy Class) purchase order (in which case payment must be paid for within 30 days of Academy Class’s invoice), credit card (we accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, JCB or American Express) or by bank transfer.
  • For all forms of payment, please include your name, course, course date and location. Academy Class reserves the right to require payment in cleared funds in advance where Academy Class has not established satisfactory credit arrangements with you.
  • The registration form must accompany any purchase order or cheque sent to Academy Class so we can identify which delegate wishes to enroll in each course.
  • Academy Class reserves the right to change prices without notice, but this will not affect any course you have already paid or agreed to pay for in writing.
  • Payments are accepted in GBP, Euro pricing is available upon request.

 

International Enrolments

International delegates taking courses in the UK must pay in advance by cheque. money order or bank transfer. Monies must clear prior to course commencement only then will your booking be confirmed in writing.

 

Confirmation of Enrolment by Academy Class

Once we have received your payment or agreement to pay, we will confirm your reservation. We will post, fax or email you a confirmation package, which includes a registration confirmation number, directions to Academy Class’s facilities, and if requested hotel booking information. If you have not received this package at least one week before the beginning of class, please call us. We recommend that delegates do not make travel and hotel accommodation arrangements without this confirmation package.

 

Cancellation

You may cancel a course for which you have enrolled and be fully refunded all course fees provided you give Academy Class at least 20 working days notice prior to the course commencement. Once with this time period a sliding scale of charges will apply as follows:

Notice of Cancellation Given- Amount Payable

  • 20 – 11 working days prior to course commencement – 50% of course fee
  • 10 – 0 working days prior to course commencement – 100% of course fee

All cancellations must be received in writing and acknowledged by Academy Class in writing.

In a situation where a course is run exclusively for a customer – at one of Academy Class’s training centres, on a customer site or any other alternative venue – course cancellation must be received in writing at least 10 working days in advance of course commencement. You will remain liable for the full course fee and any expenses incurred by Academy Class if cancellation is received after this time.

 

Attendance

  • If a delegate fails to attend the first or any subsequent day of a course, Academy Class reserves the right to deny the delegate entry to the classroom for the remainder of the course. If Academy Class exercises this right, the booking will be deemed cancelled and you will be liable for the full course fee.
  • Delegate substitutions are acceptable provided notice is given prior to course commencement and that the substitute delegate meets all course prerequisites or is approved by Academy Class management.

 

Transfer

You may transfer the course booking to alternative dates and incur no additional costs provided the request is made in writing at least 20 working days in advance of course commencement. Once within this time period a sliding scale of charges will apply as follows:

Notice of Cancellation Given and Amount Payable

  • 20 – 11 working days prior to course commencement – 50% of course fee
  • 10 – 0 working days prior to course commencement – 100% of course fee

Courses transferred within these time periods cannot subsequently be cancelled at any further time in the situation where a course is run exclusively for a customer – at one of Academy Class training centres, on a customer site or any other alternative venue – a transfer of course date must be received in writing at least 10 working days in advance of course commencement. No transfers are available for such courses within this period.

 


Access All Areas (AAA) Terms and Conditions

  • Full payment is due upon entry to the program. Payment must be received prior to attending the first class.
  • Training packages are not refundable or exchangeable.
  • Identification must be shown upon attendance of class.
  • Training must be taken within 12 months from date of activation.
  • This offer is non-refundable and not valid with other discount programs.
  • Applies to new registrations only. Previous purchases can not be applied to the program.
  • All classes include full courseware and completion certificates.
  • Class retakes are available for free.
  • Cannot be combined with other discounts, offers, or promotions.
  • 50% cancellation fee for failure to attend class based on website price
  • Terms are subject to change without notice.

 

Training Vouchers / Creative Licenses

  • Training Vouchers / Creative licenses are not refundable.
  • Full payment is due upon purchase. Payment must be received prior to attending the first class.
  • All course dates must begin within 1 year of date of purchase.
  • Redeemable against scheduled classes only – subject to availability.
  • Cannot be combined with other discounts, offers, or promotions.
  • Cancellation terms will apply for failure to attend class.
  • Our voucher deal includes the following courses at 101, 201, 301, Jumpstart and Creative License level –
    o    Adobe: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Muse, Animate, Captivate
    o    Autodesk: 3ds Max, AutoCAD, Maya, Revit Architecture
    o    Maxon: Cinema 4D
    o    Web fundamentals: WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript

 

Academy Class Guarantee

  • Guarantee offer applies to the original person attending an Academy Class classroom course.
  • The Guarantee offer is not transferable.
  • Repeat sittings of a course do not include exams or exam vouchers.
  • Guarantee Bookings for a repeat sitting of a classroom are subject to availability.
  • Guarantee offer is valid for 18 months from the date of the original classroom course, after which date it becomes null and void.
  • Offer is only applicable for one repeat sitting of the same course originally attended.
    Academy Class reserves the right to cancel at its sole discretion any particular course. In the event that a specific course is cancelled then participants enrolled in that course will be transferred to the next available course and notified by Academy Class of the change.
  • Delegates should be aware that there is always a chance that they will be “bumped” into the next class if it were to fill up with paying delegates . Even if you are bumped, we do guarantee that you will be afforded 1 refresher of your training class.

 

Changes to These Terms

Academy Class reserves the right to change these terms at any time, effective immediately upon posting on the website. Please check this page of the website periodically.
