The first part of this 5-day course focusses on essential Web page development skills. You will learn to develop Web sites using Hypertext Markup Language version 5 (HTML5) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). You will learn to write code manually, as well as use graphical user interface (GUI) authoring tools. You will also learn to insert images, create hyperlinks, and add tables, forms, video, and audio to your Web pages.

The latter part builds upon your manual coding skills to teach you how to develop Web documents using new elements, attributes and selectors introduced in HTML5 (Hypertext Markup Language version 5) and CSS3 (Cascading Style Sheets version 3). You will create Web pages using the HTML5 structure elements, embed video and audio, and develop cross-browser user-input forms. You will use CSS3 to position and format content, and to create effects such as transformations, transitions and animation.

4 reviews for HTML5/CSS3 Jumpstart

  1. Rated 5 out of 5

Completed HTML/CSS 101 & WordPress Yellow Belt: Brilliantly tutored courses. Due to working full time I was unable to attend most training courses during the day but Academy Class offered me late evening courses. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to start on/ improve their foundation skills of web development/ coding. Because of these courses I am redirecting my career and starting my own web development company. Thank you.

  2. Rated 5 out of 5

Academy Class was a great place to do a training course as the tutor accommodated everybody’s skill level. The level of work was set at the right level allowing beginners to catch up easily.

  3. Rated 5 out of 5

I recently attended the HTML & CSS Fast track course. Before attending this course I had limited knowledge of HTML & CSS. I now feel confident enough to build webpages and create a website using just code. The tutor was very helpful, breaking difficult topics down so they were easier to understand, I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn about web design/development.

  4. Rated 5 out of 5

Great location and great course, I have gone from a complete novice coder to a confidant one after only 2 weeks. Excited to put my new found skills into action thanks to the expertise of the trainers!
