I took a week-long crash course in After Effects with Academy Class and the pace was fast, but good. The tutor knew his stuff and explained everything thoroughly. If someone in the class blinked and suddenly found themselves ten minutes behind, he made sure they quickly caught up and the class progressed together. It also helped that the classes were friendly and lighthearted. Excellent tutoring and friendly staff made this a very worthwhile experience and I would highly recommend Academy Class for anyone looking to improve their software skills.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank Jason Cox of Academy Class for his excellent tuition and explanation of Adobe After Effects. The course lasted two days of light hearted examples that really delved into the depths of Ae’s. We left no stone unturned and I left the course with new skills, envigoured enthusiasm and renewed belief in my own ability to an industry standard. You can’t buy that kind of experience.

I recently completed a course on After Effects with Academy Class. We had a great tutor who took the time to explain everything clearly. The course covered a great range of techniques and i’ll definitely be able to put my new skills to use. Class environment and refreshments all good too.

I attended only the last 2 days of the course, so cannot comment on the first 3. My experience was a satisfying one, ad Dom is knowledgeable about his subject.
John Mclellan –
I accessed the class remotely. I was a bit wary at the start but overall I think it was a success. However it still does not replace being in the class with other participants who you can also learn from.
Molly –
Dom has been a great instructor !
Lloyd –
I came with some prior knowledge of After Effects but still learned lot of useful things that will save me time.

The Certiport exam crashed and would not reopen… I know that this isn’t Academy Class’ fault but it was disappointing

iMacs are very slow but apart from that all good.
Jade –
I’m super grateful for the teaching – even if in my case there was a lot of duplication from when I did the beginner’s course. It was a really friendly environment and always good to reinforce my knowledge. I’m happy that you’re taking steps to make sure I fill in gaps/learn more as a goodwill gesture based on the different learning outcomes. I have learnt a lot from learning After Effects here and the basics really helped me to put it to use in my work. Thank you.See you next year!
James –
Overall enjoyable week & thought Tom was a great instructor
Helena –
The classes were slightly one dimensions- Would have been more beneficial to have a variation in teaching style. or have exercises to complete mixed in with the teaching to help test and display our knowledge. I think knowing the objectives each day and the areas in which we were looking to cover would have been more productive. Seeing the end of a project at the start to know why we were carrying out certain techniques to help combime the teached. I was pretty unimpressed with the teaching style, and overall course content flow.
Kurtis –
Very stimulating content and projects which opened up a range of capabilities within after effects that were new to me. Was really good to get the insight from someone who is experienced with after effects. Learnt a lot!
Joe –
Computers need to be more powerful The course was fantastic. Perhaps the only thing that would have improved my time would have been a few more minutes during each exercise to write notes. I tried this but found that I’d suddenly be behind in the next task and struggling to keep up. To his credit, Tom was very good at helping me catch up.
Jonathan –
We picked up on stuff we learned in AE 101 and really got to grips with the advanced capabilities of After Effects. We learned absolutely loads, and there was the opportunity to learn about specific things we wanted.
Penny –
Great course, covered a lot but still eager to learn more. Instructor was patient but also didn’t let the class slow down.
Andrew –
Excellent course, well delivered and got through loads of information in a short space of time.
Cheryl –
I enjoyed the course and hopefully will be able to use things I learned in day to day work.
Andrew –
A fantastic course that has taught me a lot that I will definitely use every day in my job. Ian was very helpful, didn’t mind repeating things to make sure we were fully understanding everything, and made the course very enjoyable. The venue was a lot better than expected too, with good equipment and good facilities such as the canteen/nearby parking.
